With technology progessing at an ever increasing rate, the application of art media has advanced more in a few decades than had previously ocurred during the last several centuries. For the visually creative these technologies include; media type, digital imaging, CGI software, computerized tablet platforms, et- cetera.
Born in Livingston, New Jersey in the mid 1960's. I was raised in a family that supported my creative nature. Having ac-celled in art through grade and high schools, I continued my formal studies at The School of Visual Arts and the DuCret School of Fine Arts. This enabled me to learn the techniques and media applied throughout history. The primary influences that continue to effect my work today are the naturalist, landscape, expressionist and surrealistic artists of the last several centuries.
With continuing advancements in digital media, a vast world continues to open up in graphic design and illustration. The ability to create on platforms with the integration of multiple media types is without restriction. This allows me to create structure, depth and perspective seamlessly. Some purists believe digital imaging is not a true art form and that is their right however; I believe work produced on a digital canvas is as pure an art form as any media type pre-dating this era.
